WHO WE ARE
Road to Hire (R2H) is a nonprofit organization in the Charlotte metro area. It was founded in 2013 by Ric Elias, Red Ventures’ founder and chief executive officer.

WHAT WE DO
R2H works with corporate partners and universities to diversify corporate workspaces and interrupt cycles of intergenerational poverty by ensuring underrepresented individuals have access to higher education, high-earning careers and prosperous futures. To date, R2H has supported over 1,800 young adults.

ROAD TO HIRE’S PROGRAM

Along with its partnerships, R2H has three programs in place to fulfill its mission:

  • High School program: Exposes students to resources and opportunities to get them on paths to high-earning careers
    post-graduation.

  • College program: Provides financial support, mentorship, programming and community to young adults throughout their college years.

There are two branches of this program:

  • R2H Scholars which supports local Charlotte students who completed R2H’s High School program

  • Golden Door Scholars which supports undocumented students and DACA/TPS holders

  • Apprenticeships program: Trains young adults in tech and professional development skills. This program is a paid, full-time, 24-week training.
